COVID-19: PLANNING APPOINTMENTS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING

An appointment is required for any business to with the Community Development Department. To schedule an appointment, please email comdev@ci.benicia.ca.us or call 707-746-4280. At the time of your appointment, you will be required to enter City Hall from East L Street through the door located at the left (East) side of the building. You will be required to wear a face covering, use hand sanitizer upon entry and maintain physical distance for the duration of your visit to City Hall.

The Benicia Planning Division is only accepting paperless applications to streamline review procedures, reduce costs to applicants, and promote environmental sustainability. Informational handouts, application forms and checklists are available via the links below.  Applications may be filed by selecting the orange link to the left-hand side of this page.  Please browse this information and contact the Planning Division with further questions either via email or by phone. 

ABOUT THE PLANNING DIVISION

The Planning Division is associated with the City of Benicia Community Development Department. It processes all applications for development in the City. The Division is also responsible for implementing the City’s General Plan and Zoning Code, including periodic reviews and updates, special planning studies, and supporting regional planning activities.
