Division Chief Jed Matcham began his fire service career at the Benicia Fire Department in August of 2002. He worked his way up through the ranks of the Department serving as Paramedic Firefighter, Engineer, Captain, and was promoted to Division Chief in March 2018. Chief Matcham has also served as a Fire Investigator with since 2008.

Division Chief Matthews began his fire service journey in 1987 as a Fire Explorer in the Boy Scouts with the Benicia Fire Department. He began his professional career in 1994 with CalFire as a seasonal Firefighter and was hired at the Benicia Fire Department in April of 1997. He worked his way up through the ranks of the Department serving as Paramedic Firefighter, Engineer, Captain, and was promoted to Division Chief in August of 2019.

Mike began his career in 1990 as a Firefighter at Glen Ellen Fire District. He began serving as Firefighter with the Benicia Fire Department in 1998. With Benicia, Mike has served as a Firefighter, Engineer, and Captain before being promoted to Division Chief in December of 2020.
