VTA’s BART Silicon Valley Extension Parking Survey

|

VTA is taking a brief survey  to obtain feedback on if and how you plan to ride the new BART Silicon Valley Extension, how you will travel to the new stations and, if driving, how much you are willing to pay for parking at the BART stations.

Phase I of VTA’s BART Silicon Valley Extension, which includes the Milpitas BART and San Jose/Berryessa BART stations, is scheduled to open in late 2017 connecting at the new Warm Springs BART station, which opens this weekend.  The fare to ride BART from the two Silicon Valley stations will vary depending on the distance to your destination.

Applying BART’s existing fare zone and parking pricing policies, fares and fees on the new extension could reflect current pricing that ranges anywhere from around $2.00 to over $12.00 if traveling to the end of the line at the San Francisco International Airport.

The BART ride from Berryessa/San Jose BART station will take approximately one hour to get to downtown San Francisco and it will take approximately 45 minutes to get to downtown Oakland. The fare to ride BART does not include the cost to park at the station which will be an additional fee.
