Starting January 1, 2019 the Fire Department will be transitioning Code Enforcement activities to the Department of Public Works. All Code Enforcement complaints and inquiries should be directed to the Code Enforcement hotline at 650-829-6682. All inquiries and phone calls will be returned promptly.

The City of South San Francisco has adopted Municipal Codes that can help aesthetically enhance our City as well as keep it safe. The Code Enforcement Division protects the quality of life, property values and the environment for the residents and businesses of South San Francisco. This is accomplished by developing and promoting safe and healthy neighborhoods through education and compliance of our codes, ordinances and permits in a proper and timely fashion within the limits of the law.
