Comprehensive Single Ventricle Program

The Comprehensive Single Ventricle Program (SVP) aims to improve survival and optimize outcomes for children and young adults with single ventricle physiology.  Designed to meet the unique needs of patients who have Fontan circulation, the Comprehensive SVP clinic has been developed to provide comprehensive, interdisciplinary care in the following areas:

The SVP team strives to help our single ventricle patients live life to the fullest. The clinical program will provide screening, evaluation, and coordinated care by an integrated team of single ventricle “champions” from the following specialties, who will collaborate in a single visit:

  • cardiology (including a cardiologist and cardiology nurse practitioner)
  • hepatology (liver)
  • nephrology (kidney)
  • neurodevelopmental psychology
  • school liaison
  • nutrition
  • child psychiatry
  • social work
