Stanford does not have a pre-med major. For any of the health professions, you may major in any discipline.
Getting Pre-Med Advice
There are pre-med advisors within UAR available to help you with your ideas, coursework planning, long-term objectives, and options for gaining experience.
All current students who are interested in pursuing a pre-health career are encouraged to make an appointment to meet with one of the pre-health advisors. It is a good idea to seek up-to-date advising from these advisors more than once per year.
Pre-health advisors meet with Stanford students and provide advice in a variety of formats:

- During Open Office Hours (currently held every Friday 1-3pm in Sweet Hall during the academic year).
- In a group setting for a variety of programs throughout the year.

Mock Interview Specialist / Pre-Med Advisor
Students who are in the process of applying to medical school are welcome to meet with Judy Colwell, former Assistant Director of Admissions at Stanford University School of Medicine, to talk about the application process, school selection, and upcoming interviews.
