Office closure for winter break, Dec. 23 – Jan. 7

Parking & Transportation Services (P&TS) will be closed for the University’s winter closure from Dec. 23 through Jan. 7. During the closure, online transactions will be unavailable or not processed:

  • Requests for Go Passes will not be processed
  • Online ordering will not be available Dec. 21 through Jan. 4

Dec. 22 deadline to cancel January permits. Commuters wishing to cancel their annual or academic-year parking permits as of January must return their parking permits by Dec. 22 before 12 p.m. to avoid being charged for the month of January.

Temporary parking permits available for online ordering the week of Jan. 5. If you need to purchase a monthly or long-term permit between Jan. 5 and Jan. 12, skip the lines! Consider ordering online, printing your “Thank You For Your Order” confirmation web page, and displaying it as a temporary parking permit on your vehicle dashboard. 

Normal business hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, will resume on Jan. 8, 2018.

Limited Marguerite and holiday transit service

Most Marguerite service will be suspended Dec. 23 through Jan. 7, except for lines primarily serving the Medical Center. In addition, transit service will be limited elsewhere in the Bay Area on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

Parking

Winter Closure Enforcement

Unless otherwise listed, parking permit enforcement during the winter closure (Dec. 23 through Jan. 7) will be suspended  in ‘Z,’ ‘C’, ‘A’ and visitor parking lots, with the exception of some facilities serving the hospital and School of Medicine.

Parking restrictions related to disabled parking, red zones, fire lanes and “Special Permit” spaces are enforced 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, regardless of the time of year.

Knight Management Center Garage, Wilbur Field Garage, and Roble Field Garage closed for cleaning

Knight Management Center Garage, Wilbur Field Garage, and Roble Field Garage will be closed for garage cleaning during winter closure. All parking permit holders are advised to avoid utilizing these garages between Dec. 23 and Jan. 6. All cars left in the garages during these dates will be subject to towing at the owner’s expense.
