The Rodin Sculpture Garden and campus sculptures are always open to visitors.

The Cantor Arts Center is located at the intersection of Museum Way and Lomita Drive in the heart of the arts district on the Stanford campus. The Cantor faces the Bing Concert Hall across Palm Drive, northwest of The Oval and the Main Quad.

Parking

Parking is limited. Visitor parking is available on Lomita Drive and in a nearby parking structure at Roth Way and Campus Drive. On weekdays until 4PM visitors may use marked, metered spots. On weekdays after 4PM and all day on weekends, visitor parking is free and visitors may also use A and C permit spaces.

Accessibility

Galleries, gardens, restrooms, and the Cool Café are all accessible by wheelchair. There is an accessible drop-off point on Lomita Drive and a ramp leading to the south entrance. Wheelchairs and gallery stools are available for visitors’ use. If you require assisted listening devices or sign language interpretation for Group Visits, please advise the Education Department in advance of your visit.

All photos must be for personal and non-commercial use. Wedding and portrait photography is not permitted either indoors or outside. Please refer to our Museum Policies for further information.

  • Strollers are available for visitors’ use.
  • Groups of 10 or more are asked to register in advance.
  • We allow breastfeeding and bottle-feeding in all spaces, but do not provide any dedicated spaces for feeding.

Outdoor Art

Our distinguished outdoor art collection includes figurative and abstract works in a variety of media by artists ranging from the late 19th century through the present. In addition to the Rodin Sculpture Garden and the Papua New Guinea Sculpture Garden, the Cantor maintains outdoor sculpture across campus that are available for viewing all hours.

The Cantor Arts Center plays a leading role in the vibrant, cultural life of the Stanford campus and greater community, welcoming some 200,000 visitors a year. Its collections include more than 38,000 works of art, spanning 5,000 years of history and crossing continents from the Americas to Europe, and from Africa to Asia. The Cantor offers diverse changing exhibitions in 24 galleries, a vibrant family program, lectures, performances, art classes and special events—providing a wealth of experiences for visitors of all ages. But we can't do it without our members.
