Stepping Stones to Success - SSTS

R&DE’s Stepping Stones to Success program (SSTS) is a concierge workplace education program. It is open to all Stanford University staff including Stanford Health Care, LPCH, SLAC and Stanford Blood Center employees. Courses include languages, computer skills, GED and college preparation, and more.

Give back to the Stanford service workers who work in the dining halls, residences and tend Stanford gardens. Sign up as a tutor for the service learning component of the Stepping Stones to Success (SSTS) program promoting learning beyond the classroom.

All students are welcome especially those interested in health literacy, education, linguistics, computer science, global health, public policy or international relations. No prior experience or specific skills needed.

Service required by group to fulfill a Cardinal Commitment: Students should attend a half hour one time orientation, and commit to tutoring for at least two hours per week over the course of the academic school year. Students may tutor either for the English/computer course and/or for the GED prep courses.
