The electric vehicle (EV) campaign that charged through the Bay Area all summer and fall made one of its final stops in at St. James Park in San Jose on October 25, 2014. Visitors celebrating Día de los Muertos took a break from live music and taco-eating contests to check out the fleet and get behind the wheel. As at all Experience Electric events, the latest EV models — including offerings from Cadillac, Ford, Smart USA and BMW— were available for test drives. Without pressure to purchase, motorists learned how EVs help the environment. Experience Electric is sponsored by a consortium of government agencies including MTC and EV promoters.
