Berkeley County, South Carolina

Google is proud to call South Carolina home to one of our data centers.

In 2007, we announced plans to construct a data center complex in Berkeley County, South Carolina. We announced the expansion of the facility in 2013, bringing our total investment to $1.8 billion and establishing a long-term commitment to the region and state. We've created more than 400 jobs on site, and we work hard to support the communities in which our employees live and work.

Since 2009, we've awarded more than $2 million to local schools and nonprofits. Additionally, we've helped implement free downtown WiFi networks throughout the Lowcountry.

Meet some of our employees and see how we're giving back to the community.
