Last night, Harvey Weinstein was invited to a fundraiser for actors and when female attendees asked for him to leave, the women were kicked out. So yeah, cancel culture, not a thing

I was there. At least 2 performers awkwardly tried to address the "elephant in the room" w/o saying his name. We tried our best to ignore the fact that he was there, but once the comedian got booed for bringing it up, it was just a matter of time before the shit hit the fan

I talked to and who were at a show last night with Harvey Weinstein in the audience. They were booed, laughed at, and asked to leave:

Bachman was the only comedian to confront Weinstein during her set, and made a joke about "bringing mace and a rape whistle." Someone told her to shut up. "That one really kills at group therapy for rape victims," she replied.

One comedian who performed after her said "Do you know the movie Good Will Hunting? Because that's a good movie." Rollo was called a cunt and a woman who screamed at Weinstein was asked to leave. This is in New York, where Harvey Weinstein has been criminally charged.

Thank you Kelly Bachman for showing the courage so lacking throughout our country right now. Major respect.

This is infuriating and horrific and I will never stop being pissed and depressed at how little the world gives a shit about victims. Shame on the Actor's Hour. Power to women who stood up against this, now and always.

NYC: Downtime Bar and Actor's Hour let Harvey Weinstein in last night and KICKED OUT a girl who complained. If you care social justice, join me in boycotting these establishments and warning our community that they are not a safe space for anyone but rapists and their supporters.

Harvey Weinstein was invited to a private event last night w/ comics, actors & other artists and when someone complained - she was kicked out Focusing on the word “canceled” as much as we do misconstrues the still very real power abusers have & who it affects / doesn’t

Weinstein was seriously invited to an event for artists last night and when the artists got [rightfully] furious, THEY were kicked out. Tell me when has gone too far. I’ll wait.

A representative for Harvey Weinstein issued a statement to THR: "This scene was uncalled for, downright rude and an example of how due process today is being squashed by the public, trying to take it away in the courtroom too." Read in full:

In a Vanity Fair exclusive, producer Rich McHugh writes that he resigned from NBC News "because they ordered me to stop reporting on Harvey Weinstein, and I did not believe that they had been truthful with me or Ronan Farrow."
