Dr. Andra Blomkalns Appointed as Chair of Department of Emergency Medicine

Dr. Andra Blomkalns, a leader in medical device innovation and translational medicine, will head Stanford’s emergency medicine department. “I’m thrilled to be coming to Stanford,” said Blomkalns. "Stanford has the unique capacity to become the home of the world’s leading experts in emergency care innovation.”


Dr. Imler Honored by American Academy of Pediatrics

Dr. Dan Imler has receivied the prestigious EBSCO Health/DynaMed Plus Award for Technological Innovations in Pediatric EM, awarded by the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Emergency Medicine, for his work on Curbside, a clinical effectiveness platform for decision support that puts clinicians in control of patient care.


New Physician Wellness Fellowship

The Department of Emergency Medicine has launched a new fellowship focused on physician wellness.  One of the first of its kind in the nation, this fellowship program is led by nationally-recognized faculty, preeminent in the field of physician wellness.
